Weekend at Taman Tasik Metropolitan Kepong

Taman Tasik Metropolitan Kepong aka Taman Tasik Layang-Layang Kepong...

At last me bangun jgk pepagi...angkat bontot mandi pagi on weekend..hahaha...kalau nk g mall rajin je bangun...LOL..ni pn si kecik pepagi minum susu n trus membuang..so mandikan n me pn mandi n by 9.15am left the house...

we arrived around 9.30am..and parking sgt la available..xpayah parking tepi jalan..n since musim hujan..n hujan pn renyai by the time i completed the walk...so agak redup even almost 11am tu...

OMG..tasik tu sangat besar ok..rasanya mau dlm 2km or more kot...phewwww...never knew that!!...uwaaaa....n me menggatal nk pusing 1 round tu pn amik shortcut sket...hahaha...kalau tau i nak patah je balik separuh jalan...

Me n RF

And harusla angkut my lil boy...anak bukan penghalang untuk menjalankan aktiviti di tasik :D..eventho jogging for 10sec je n berjalan for 20mins n smbg jog n jalan n so on...hahaha....jogging while pushing the stroller? NOT A BIG DEAL...bugaboo cameleon so easy to maneuver..smbl lari smbl tolak...easy peasy..si kecik sronok je angin sepoi2 kejap..angin kuat menghempas muka kejap..LOL

my sport attire...akhirnya dpt longsleeve dryfit but style pendek..so kena pagai another layer..

his sport attire...really need to ask 1 set from top to bottom from babah!
babah ckp short farouq sama pattern ngan kain pelekat babah :)
at 1st i planned to bring ball n let him kicks while i take 5 ke..but memandangkn he doesnt have any proper sport shoes and dryfit shirt/jersey...so lupakan je la...

and i should let him facing me while i pushed the stroller last week...sbb xtau mcmana rupa dia while i jog...sbb kejap bila i passed by people yg bertentangan..ada yang sengih la ngan sikecik..so i tau dia tgk celik mata..but then bila diam je xde jmp orang...tgk mata dia dh layu..so reclined la stroller tu..tp bila lalu kawasan redup ttiba bersungguh2 nk dudk plk..so kasi tegak balik stroller..so mayb nnti kita ada trip lagi mama biar farouq facing mama ye...

Happy boy!

after mama dh selesai membakar lemak...huhu...kasi can kt si kecik main slide for a while...look at him..sgt happy..eventho mamai before that nk tido..n me just rilek dpn slide..n gave him around 20mins...kasi kering sket peluh..then balik...n si kecik lapor..sibuk nk rice! hahaha...nk belikn keropok eksyen xmo..dlm kereta nk kopok..nasib jenis baik ckp mama tgh drive n later kita makan nasi...so we stopped kt thaqwa..pekena mamak coz mama nya ni nk makan roti telur...n belikn si kecik nasi..makan sekejap sndr..then nk kena suap sbb dok melilau mata layan kucing yang keliling kedai...hehehe...

will this be our weekend activities? ermm...mayb not every weekend kot..but mayb akan ada la sekali or 2 sebulan :) and planned aktiviti on sunday evening..tp si kecik ni xmo tido petang awal..kul 4 baru nk tido...so xjadi la plan...ishh ishh ishhh...len kali la ek...

owhh lupa nk citer...i didnt tell hubby about this earlier sbb ni pn bkn plan...bab nk bangun-awal-yang-xpe-je-kalau-xbuat ni xleh plan..kalau plan xjadi..hahaha..so after halfway baru terasa nk bgtau hubby..with iphone 5..as long u hav internet access..u can facetime anyway anytime *iklan*....so berfacetime la kami..n kena la membebel skejap...memula cakap wahhh...jogging...lepas tu mula cakap bahaya la berdua..ada ke orang keliling..n nasib baik ada orang passed by time tu..so selamat la dari bebelan tu..then ada jgk orang tolak stroller jgk..so menyakinkan hubby yang inshaAllah ok je...

but when we were almost arrive to our start point...akan lalu kawasan yang mcm dlm hutan..dah la ttiba dengar bunyi anjing...serius kat situ seram...n bila nmpk ada orang depan..i mmg jalan slow xmo potong n sentiasa jalan belakang mamat tu..hehehe...dah lepas tempat seram..then kawasan tu berbukit...TINGGI giler...kalau tu baru start xpe la..ni lagi 500m dh nak smpi..penat ok..then lps tu trun bukit laju giler..smpi pandang belakang farouq sbb ingat i lepaskan stroller tu dia menggelungsur ke depan..hehehe...pfftttt..lepas ni dh tau la kena lalu situ dl..

MAJULAH SUKAN UNTUK NEGARA...and moga berat ku turun sebelum raya! :)

: : Sakit Gigi : : Klinik Pergigian Sharifah Aminah : :

After more than 9 years...

Kadang kadang...read as 2 or 3 years akan wat scalling...tp malas giler...

so last week...isnin n selasa dh start berdenyut2 sakit gigi...then khamis i was on mc sbb diarrhea n period pain..ptg g jmp dentist...i ada wat root canal kt gigi depan...but since aritu xtau gigi mana yang sakit even bdenyut2...dentist suspect gigi yang wat root canal tu infection...and if infection kena buat balik root canal and percentage nk successful is 50-50...so kalau buat but sakit lagi so the only choice..cabut..HOIIII!!! gigi depan ok...xkan la nk cabut T___T

since last time ada tampal yang tercabut/terkakis...so lps wat xray dentist told me yg nmpk ok je root canal tu..but if sakit jgk dia ckp no choice kena buat treatment tu blk dl...but dia wat tampalan dl kt area yg dh tercabut *sikit je pn* and suruh dtg esok kalau sakit...they provided me the antibiotik and pain killer..

Friday...came to office...ate pain killer around 7.30am...smpi opis n rasa the toothache tu mcm xleh tahan..pain killer xjalan or sakit melampau2...ketuk2 n main2 gigi and noted that bukan gigi root canal tu yang sakit...but gigi sebelah...dh bersyukur la sbb bukan gg tu..pergi dentist around 10am left opis...dpt jmp doc n dia wat xray again n ckp gg sbelah but she cannot do any treatment sbb tgh sakit..n sbb makan pain killer pn sakit jgk..so kena wat next week nya...mata berair2 tahan sakit..called hubby n menangis...n hubby cakap kalau gigi sakit cabut je la..huhu

so this was last monday....seram ok!! n time kena bius tu..mengalir airmata manjaku ini...n akhirnya gigi ku sudah ok...but the treatment x complete lagi..last time i kena wat 3kali n berturut2...but this time doc ckp twice je but 2nd stage next week..sementara tu dia wat temporary tampalan....

En hubby yang suruh cabut je kalau sakit..tp bila cakap dh ok n xde kena cabut mana2....takut pulak bini dia rongak..hahahhaa...

i know we can do bridge as gigi palsu (almost RM4k)...yang permanent yang bukan leh cabut2 tu...but nk tggu gigi siap tu? ermmm....alhamdulillah la xkena cabut gigi depanku..huhu...

cantik ke..hewhewhew..

my MCs and the bills...huhu
btw...usually i akan pergi Klinik Pergigian Sharifah Aminah...dari zaman wat braces and 1st root canal pn kat situ...but since they have other branch and the main doc jaga branch baru di sunway batu caves...and my record ada di greenwood pya branch..so last thursday i went yang greenwood...but since dia pya option cakap 50-50 n cabut..so i nak jmp doctor Sharifah Aminah la...giler cabut!! hahaha...

So smua treatment di situ je la ngan doctor sharifah...sunway ni based on appointment..mmg ssh nk jmp doc kalau xde appointment...greenwood xpe..walk in...mcm best je tau...doc muda..ada 2 klinik...masuk keje kul 10pg n blk before 5pm...sabtu ahad ttp...and staff dia pn mostly loyal ngan dia..orang2 yang i jumpa since last 10 years almost smua ada lagi... :D

Sakit gigi...mmg smua benda xleh buat...nk tido je..but since u hav kid..ingat leh tido mcm tu je? n farouq diarrhea plk last sunday...and i dh kumur cengkih..lastly letak colgate pain relief tu yang jalan ok...

But kita boleh amalkan (In Sha Allah) :

DOA APABILA MENDERITA SAKIT GIGI

Surah al-Mulk ayat 23

Keterangan ayat

Menurut al-Khatib dalam kitab al-Tarikh dan Ibn Munzir daripada Ibn Abbas berkata, Nabi s.a.w. bersabda, maksudnya: “ Sesiapa yang mengalami sakit gigi, maka hendaklah dia meletakkan jarinya atas gigi tersebut lalu dibacakan ayat ini “ ( Al-Durrul Manthur; tafsir ayat 23, surah al-Mulk )

Al-Daruqutni pulq meriwayatkan dalam al-Afrad daripada Ibn Abbas berkata, Nabi s.a.w. bersabda, maksudnya: “ Sesiapa meletakkan jarinya atas gigi tersebut lalu dibacakan ayat ke-98 surah al-An’am dan ayat ini, maka dia akan sembuh dengan izin Allahs.w.t.”
( Al-Durrul Manthur, tafsir ayat 23, surah al-Mulk
Manusia kurang mensyukuri nikmat kurniaan Allah.

Impetigo

Impetigo is a common skin infection.

Impetigo is caused by streptococcus (strep) or staphylococcus (staph) bacteria. Methicillin-resistant staph aureus (MRSA) is becoming a common cause.

The skin normally has many types of bacteria on it. When there is a break in the skin, bacteria can enter the body and grow there. This causes inflammation and infection.

Info from here.

So si kecik itu bukan la kena chicken pox...after a visit to a SP...Klinik wanita dan kanak-kanak desa melawati, paed confirmed that it wasnt a chicken pox...its a skin infection or to be specific "impetigo"...

At 1st mmg telinga dia mcm terbelah terluka...dlm 2cm mcm tu je..then we applied cream..from SP aka from normal clinic...then ttiba badan dia naik mcm chicken pox..and doc at the same clinic, bukak je baju trus cakap.."chicken pox"..so me as mama yang baru 1st time anak kena mcm tu..and nursery pn ckp ada few kids kena mcm tu..n tgk mmg ala2 blister..so iyerkan..and since chicken pox xyah la smpi nk jumpa specialist...

But last week...his telinga became worst...n last friday tgk dh bernanah..ada few tompok2 n nanah..so dh pk sabtu kena bwk jmp specialist..either his paed kt APSH or paed kt specialist clinic je...and sabtu pagi ada dlm 2 tompok kat pipi dia pn naik..so i thought chicken pox dia baru nk keluar..so agak pelik di situ...

by the time we met the doctor and doc trus tanya la "apa sakit" *as usual obviously*..i prefer to go here since the doctor tu perempuan and kalau x ramai patient mmg dia akan explain kat kita..but she advise dont come on saturday la since akan ramai orang...and yesss mmg ramai orang! tunggu dalam sejam je pn..i g klinik tu pn sejam gak tu..cisss!!! so sbb i thought akan lamaaaa giler...so mmg dh bwk 2 buku n prepare ipod siap2... :)

So i pn tnjk la telinga n citer pasal dia kena chicken pox tp sket je yang keluar n sekejap je...n doc pn cakap it is not chicken pox...sbb kalau chicken pox dia nya blister akan lagi clear...yang ni dia mcm kuning sket...so its a pus..nanah dlm tu..so lain..its skin infection...and keliling blister tu pn merah2...so chicken pox xkan merah so tu smua tanda-tanda impetigo la...

So doc prescribed antibotik, ubat tahan sakit and cream utk sapu..and alhamdulillah...dah kering dh semua nanah2 tu...tp ada luka sket sbb sikecik ni garu time tido...ishhhh!!!!

Pic kanan tu sbb cream from previous clinic tu dh kering2 sket..but u can see ada nanah2 tu..

Seronok baca buku...n bila g timbang ada orang amik buku dia trus muka sedey..
and bila budak tu tinggalkan atas kerusi dgn lajunya amik balik....hehehe

Budak konon2 baik dpt sticker from doctor.. pffttttt

Disadvantage between GP and SP...between normal clinic and specialist clinic...dah 2 kali terkena...dl penah skali time farouq kena bronchitis yang lastly admitted jgk..puuiiiii....ni 2nd time sbb ingat blister je trus cakap chicken pox....lagipun slalu pergi after work kan...SP mana bkk..

Get well soon RIFQI FAROUQ!!!

Nine(9) medicines you shouldn't give your toddler

Young children are much more likely than adults to have adverse drug reactions, so giving your toddler prescription or over-the-counter (OTC) medication – even "herbal" medicines – is serious business. Should your curious toddler accidentally ingest any harmful medication, be sure to keep the number for Poison Control posted near your phone. Here are some medicines you should never give your 12- to 24-month-old.

Aspirin
Never give aspirin or medications containing aspirin to your toddler or to anyone 19 years old or younger. Aspirin can make a child susceptible to Reye's syndrome – a rare but potentially fatal illness.

Don't assume that the children's medicines found in drugstores will be aspirin-free. Read labels carefully (aspirin is sometimes referred to as "salicylate" or "acetylsalicylic acid"), and ask your doctor or pharmacist if you're not sure whether a product is aspirin-free.

For fever and other discomfort, you may want to give your toddler the correct dose of acetaminophen or ibuprofen. However, if your child is dehydrated or vomiting, has asthma, kidney problems, an ulcer, or another long-term illness, talk to your doctor before giving ibuprofen. Also talk with your doctor about an alternative to acetaminophen if your child has liver disease.

Over-the-counter cough and cold medicines
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) advises against giving OTC cough and cold medicines to toddlers. Studies show that they don't actually help soothe symptoms in kids this age. And they can be harmful, especially when a child mistakenly gets more than the recommended dose.

In addition to side effects like drowsiness or sleeplessness, upset stomach, and a rash or hives, a child can suffer serious effects such as rapid heart rate, convulsions, and even death. Every year, thousands of children end up in emergency rooms across the nation after swallowing too much cough and cold medicine.

However, over the past few years emergency visits involving infants and toddlers who take too much of these medications have dropped in half. Health experts attribute the drop to manufacturers, who no longer market cough and cold medicines to young children. If your toddler's miserable with a cold, you may want to try a humidifier or other home remedies.

Anti-nausea medications
Don't give your toddler an anti-nausea medication (prescription or OTC) unless her doctor specifically recommends it. Most bouts of vomiting are pretty short-lived, and children usually handle them just fine without any medication. In addition, anti-nausea medications have risks and possible complications. (If your child is vomiting and begins to get dehydrated, contact her doctor for advice on what to do.)

Infant and adult medications
Giving your toddler a smaller dose of medicine meant for an adult is as dangerous as giving a higher dose of medicine meant for an infant. Many parents don't realize that infant drops are more concentrated than liquid medicine intended for older children. If the label doesn't indicate an appropriate dose for the weight and age of your child, don't give that medication to your toddler.

Any medication prescribed for someone else or for another condition
Prescription drugs intended for other people (like a sibling) or to treat other illnesses may be ineffective or even dangerous when given to your toddler. Give your toddler only medicine prescribed for him and his specific condition.

Anything expired
Toss out medicines, prescription and OTC alike, as soon as they expire. Also get rid of discolored or crumbly medicines – basically anything that doesn't look the way it did when you first bought it. After the use-by date, medications may no longer be effective and can even be harmful.

In general, it's not a good idea to flush old drugs down the toilet, as they may contaminate groundwater and end up in the drinking water supply. However, a few drugs are so potentially harmful to children that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration recommends disposing of them in the toilet rather than the trash.

Look at the label of the medicine to find out if it should be flushed. If you're not sure, ask your pharmacist what to do with it or find out if your community has a drug take-back program for old and expired medicines.

If a drug doesn't need to be flushed and no take-back program is available, empty the contents of the medicine bottle into a sealed container with something unpalatable (like kitty litter or coffee grounds) before throwing it out. Don't crush tablets or capsules when you mix the medicine with the undesirable substance. Remove any personal information from the empty bottle before disposing of it alongside the sealed container of medicine in the trash.

Extra acetaminophen
Some medicines contain acetaminophen to help ease fever and pain, so be careful not to give your toddler an additional separate dose of acetaminophen. If you're not sure what's in a particular medicine, don't give her acetaminophen or ibuprofen until you've first gotten the okay from your doctor or pharmacist.

Chewables
For most toddlers, chewable tablets are a choking hazard. If you want to use a chewable tablet, ask your child's doctor or pharmacist if it's okay to crush it first and put in a spoonful of soft food, like yogurt or applesauce. (Remember that you'll need to make sure your child eats the entire spoonful of food in order to get the complete dose of medicine.)

Syrup of ipecac
Syrup of ipecac causes vomiting and used to be kept handy to prevent poisoning. Doctors no longer recommend syrup of ipecac mainly because there's no evidence that vomiting helps in the treatment of poisoning. In fact, syrup of ipecac may do more harm than good if a child continues to vomit after ingesting a remedy that has been shown to help, such as activated charcoal.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends throwing out any syrup of ipecac you have in your home and says the best way to prevent accidental poisoning is to keep potentially harmful substances locked up and out of sight.

Medical Opinion

I dont know how you treat urself or families when it comes to any medical/health conditions...

Coz example if someone been diagnosed with this this this...u cannot refer n stick to that particular doctor only..especially when it keep on repeating..and if the Doctor A said if things getting worse, you should go for an operation..walla....there u go..operate tu..huhuhu..

So if things x recover, and u keep on ngan that Doctor A, that doc said we will see for 2weeks time...if ok than ok la..but nk menunggu 2minggu pn u asyik MC and xsihat..kenapa nk tunggu surat referral from clinic to specialist..just go to the specialist la..bayar sendiri..bukan mahal sangat pun..maybe 200 kot paling mahal...bukan nk suruh go for other opt means ready for operation..just to get the 2nd opinion...seriously, u cannot take things for granted la..kalau setakat sakit perut period or muntah2 for few days tu xpe la...

Same goes to my baby when we checked on his conditions :
1) Asthma
- As he was admitted just after a week he was born with pneumonia..and then keep on repeating got wheezing..then admitted again bcoz of bronchitis when he was 7MO...
- Doctor at A.P.S.H suspected he has asthma...and was given a chamber + ventolin + budesonide...

ventolin

busesonide - ni yang xpatut ni!!

- then we decided to get the 2nd opinion and went to a "Klinik Pakar Kanak-Kanak"..and luckily, i bring both inhaler...and doctor confirmed he has asthma..but the inhaler xbetul..he should be given a seretide instead the budesonide...doc said the budesonide tu from India and kat malaysia xguna sangat ke x medically approved ke apa..so we changed to seretide.. *padanla time upload pic tu drg cakap drg guna ventolin + seretide utk anak2 drg yang ada asthma*

ni baru betul...twice per day :)
- then last week..admitted again because of broncholitis..yang best nya paed dia cuti..so we went to see diff paed..discharged on Saturday and the followup next Saturday (after 1 week) but since last monday his paed dah masuk keje..so we went to bring him to his paed..this is not consider followup just to get 2nd opinion..
- all above covered under my husband's insurance but pay n claim..n encik suami xreti2 nk claim..simpan je resit2 tu..dh dekat seribu jgk kot..

2) CA
- this one is referring to his birth defect..which need to go for an operation...huhu..and as u know, congenital anomalies ni insurance xcover..so smua bayar sndr ok!
- As A.P.S.H xde paed surgeon..so his paed suggested that we can go to tawakal..so doc siapkan referral letter with my son's conditions smua..then off we go..yezza..swasta kan..of coz la berpuluh ribu costnya..but we didn't agree that time..so we decided to have 2nd opinion from other doc/diff hospital...
- we chose HUKM local goverment and once there, the doc was good despite tunggu lama sket..tp xde la lama sangat kot..n doc mentioned the only local gomen hospital yg ada good paed surgeon ada kat HKL, HUKM and PPUM kot..so we decided maintain je kat HUKM...after discussion, and the approach between tawakal n HUKM lain..n we prefer HUKM since doc pn citer ada complication la..and if i ikut cara tawakal ada this issue and this la..so ok..kita ikut option from HUKM
- As HUKM ada local and specialist, there you go...i jmp pulak doc kt HUKM specialist...and tanya all the differences between local and specialist n procedure smua..n i tell u..lagi ramai doc u jmp..u will know ur or ur kid's conditions very well..as u tau nk tanya apa smua..
- my son already had his 1st operation at gov hospital and next december is his 2nd operation..and still my husband wanted to go to HUKM specialist..but since i have no issue with local gomen except the doctor is not that specialist but the procedure/operation will be monitored by the specialist...and bukan doc yg baru kuar medical skool yang akan operate pn..ni doc yang dh ada pengalaman yang tgh menimba ilmu nk jadi specialist pn..and the doc was nice...im happy with their services..

So kesimpulannya...if you guys out there rasa not feeling good..n things x recover or getting worse...y not go n get 2nd opinion k..
